1998-Present     Oak Forest Hospital Of Cook County

Responsibilities: Manage the admissions of patients into OFH through a systematic review of the medical records. Collaborative management of the movement of patients from one level of care to another within OFH. On call as needed for emergency movement of patients or staff shortages within the facility. Serve on committees as appointed by department. Provide Physician Resident Orientation, assist with quality issues and instruct in CPR classes through Education and Training Department.

Responsibilities: Work with Neonatal, Pediatric, Mother/Baby Patients at various hospitals on an as needed basis to provide patient Care. Care provided to well newborns and newborns on ventilators Some who may be pre-term. Care to pediatric and new mother. Start and maintain IV access, give treatments as ordered.

Attend high risk deliveries to assist the physician with potential newborn complications, intubation, ventilator management, infants on head hoods, umbilical artery and venous catheter placement, start IV's, IV management, infant NGTs, draw capillary or arterial blood gases, placement and management of bili-light therapy, education of mothers, pediatric care, admission physicals and history, reporting abnormal findings to appropriate state agencies.

Responsibilities: Coordinate care of mother/baby and medical/surgical patients within the home environment under the supervision of the primary care physician. Worked with patients needing wound care, IV therapy, foley catheter care, prepared 585 & 486 forms for state certification and recertification.
